SD Game Fish & Park Outdoor Campus West

Placed on approximately 32 acres of land, the Outdoor Campus is a beautiful and impressive statement to sustainable design.

Each visitor’s unique experience begins with crossing the bridge and continues throughout the building and site. Discovering the diverse and dramatic outdoor spaces and hidden views is half the fun of exploring the secluded corners of thisRapid City destination.

 It is currently anticipated that the site and building will be LEED Gold Certified upon completion.

 Utilizing a broad range of credits, the features of the site helped to contribute to the team’s sustainable design solutions, such as geothermal heating and cooling systems, bike/pedestrian access, expanded open space and restored habitat.

Interior sustainable design solutions include individual lighting and temperature controls, a wide range of recycled content materials, clear views and extensive use of daylight and water efficient fixtures.
